A good thriller set in exotic (for me) locale. Not dripping with sadism as are so many recent thrillers. You can't predict the ending.
Hoping for more to come.
I read this book several weeks ago. Even now, I think about the characters; couldn't they have behaved differently even against the backdrop of differing beliefs. The twists and turns captivated my attention from beginning to end. On the last page, when I was closing the book for the final time, I exclaimed "What???". A terrific read.
A very good read. Jones' characters are as complex and subtle as the social issues he brings out in old Tunis. Informative, compelling and fast-paced.
A Witness in Tunis is enthralling. It maintains a non-stop pace, while retaining complete credibility. Mr Jones immerses his reader in modern-day Tunisia and weaves a convincing tale of intrigue, duplicity, and murder. I hope to read more from him.
